Hi, John. I'm Troy. I'm a draftsman. I'm looking to 3D model my cross century pencil for fun, but I can't get the inner mechanism open without breaking it, and finding diagrams of propel-repel-expel mechanisms is proving very difficult. Right now I'm trying and failing to reverse engineer a mechanism, haha.
I was curious if you could point me in the right direction to find a diagram or a patent drawing. I reached out to a couple other pencil people about this, and Jim from Pen Hero pointed me your way, saying you know more about pencils than anybody.
Thank you for your time,
Troy Wilson II
